| Soon after Desert Storm our nations fighter aircraft were on display at the Asian Defense Show in Singapore. | |||
| The Air Force says that we can save over a million dollars a day by keeping the cockpit cool. That goes right along with the field reports that we have been getting. It is hard to put your finger on the cause of cockpit avionics or instrument failure. Wright-Patterson engineers estimate that at least 20% of the time, heat is the culprit. That pretty much follows what we hear from the field. Crews that have been keeping their cockpits cooler the longest report that keeping the cockpit cool translates to less time and money spent on repairing and replacing cockpit equipment.. That is good news for those looking at the budget and manpower requirements. Like any new concept, it takes time for cool cockpits to catch on. More and more aircraft are equipped with covers than anytime before. Learn more about Kennon Sun Shields Click Here |
